Modern Armor Clear Bra Paint Protection VS. The Traditional Bra
Are you looking to protect you new vehicles finish from being eaten away (along with the resale value) by sand and road debris? Thinking that a traditional black bra popularized in the 80's is the way to go? Think again. Well known brands of these traditional black (and sometimes colored) bras like LeBra, Colgan, Speed Lingerie, Covercraft, Wolf, etc. all promise 'the best fit available'. That may be accurate given the inherent constraints of the materials they use, however they cannot offer the best protection available.
Take a look at these photos and judge for yourself. There are large air gaps where the material cannot follow the natural contour lines of the vehicle. These gaps WILL fill with sand and other debris that WILL act like sand paper and permanently damage the vehicles finish. Even on seemingly tight fitting areas there was a significant build up of debris. This completely defeats the purpose of using one of these traditional bra's to protect your vehicles finish along with its resale value!
