While there are companies who lay a large piece of material on your vehicle and cut away the excess, most use patterns produced with aid of a computer controlled cutting system. This serves to increase quality and reduce the cost to the consumer, while insuring the customers paint is not cut during the install.

There are a variety of choices when it comes to the pattern databases that businesses can use to cut the required parts for your vehicle. Like everything, there are differences.
